In the Wednesday Jan 25, 2012 class, I discussed the web site join.me. It allows people to share desktops.

During Wednesday January 25, 2012 class, we discussed the importance of delayed gratification. Its a little off the course topic but its important for everyone to understand that delayed gratification is practiced by successful people and those who practice instant gratification are less successful.

Just look at lottery winners, professional sports players and others who receive large amounts of income and then file for bankruptcy. Its not about income, its about controlling expenses and investing for the future.

Below is a story about 10 lottery winners who lost it all.

As a CAU student, you are practicing delayed gratification by investing in your education. All the data shows that the higher your education level the higher your income potential. There is an even stronger relationship between the two variables in this new information-based economy.

On Monday January 23, 2012, I showed the web site listed below. Its a site that lists coupons and discounts for goods and services available both on-line and in stores. It has some great deals and they are listed throughout the day.

The site has a mobile app for both Android and Apple markets. Install the app to your mobile device so you can follow deals throughout the day. Some of these deals are time and quantity sensitive.

Lets get started

This is the first semester of a new Entrepreneurship course for non-business majors. This course will cover more business basics because the students are non-business majors.

This the first course in the new Entrepreneurship major in the CAU School of Business.

Students will be writing to this blog, their comments, ideas and thought about the subject matter.

I hope the students will enjoy the class and learn something.
