During Wednesday January 25, 2012 class, we discussed the importance of delayed gratification. Its a little off the course topic but its important for everyone to understand that delayed gratification is practiced by successful people and those who practice instant gratification are less successful.

Just look at lottery winners, professional sports players and others who receive large amounts of income and then file for bankruptcy. Its not about income, its about controlling expenses and investing for the future.

As a CAU student, you are practicing delayed gratification by investing in your education. All the data shows that the higher your education level the higher your income potential. There is an even stronger relationship between the two variables in this new information-based economy.
